What is the Sampoerna Academy scholarship program?
Sampoerna Academy is a senior high school equivalent education with dormitory-living established through the joint effort of Sampoerna Foundation (PSF) and the local government of the region. For the 2009/2010 academic year, two Sampoerna Academy institutions are ready to enroll, they are located at SMAN 10 Malang in the city of Malang, East Java and Palembang, South Sumatera.
Sampoerna Academy was developed with the aim of providing international standard education, free-of-charge to financially disadvantaged children. While attending, all study related expenses for students admitted into the program will receive financial assistance, including food, dormitory, uniform, etc until they have finished their studies.
What are the selection requirements for students applying for the Sampoerna Academy – Sampoerna Foundation scholarship?
Meeting the requirements and passing the test administered by Sampoerna Foundation. The requirements are as follows:
a) Indonesian citizen aged 14-16 years
b) Student of Grade 9 (SMP Level 3)
c) Awarded a minimum average grade of 7.00 in 1st through 5th Semester (Grades 7-9)
d) Ranked among Top 10 in Grade 9 (odd semester)
e) Come from middle to low income family
Pass the test administered by Sampoerna Foundation, which consists of:
• Academic Test
• Psychology Test
• Group Discussion
Aside from these requirements home visits will be conducted to obtain necessary clarification on data provided in the application form.
